PLANT BASED CHRISTMAS DINNER
As part of our ‘Food For Life’ series, sponsored by The National Lottery Community Fund Wales & the Soil Association we decided to coproduce an alternative, ‘Plant-Based’ Christmas Dinner in 2020.
We wanted to demonstrate how easy it can be to make plant-based / Vegan / Vegetarian swaps for the traditional Christmas fayre for anyone who felt like trying something new or perhaps those who simply fancied a break from the usual turkey and trimmings in favour of something vegetable based!
There is often a thought that plant-based is less tasty, too difficult, too much hassle, but there are so many wonderful ways of making Christmas Dinner taste totally wonderful!
In this video, Kat & Lucy created a fabulous Christmas showstopper – an alternative to a turkey alternative called ‘Criss Cross’, a very tasty mushroom wellington… we also made ‘no pigs in blankets’, and Vegan gravy – all from the ‘Bish Bash Bosh!’ cookery book.
