Session 2 – Breaks, Sprains & Strains
Around 250,000 people in the UK are admitted to hospital every year after breaking a bone or dislocating a joint. These are very painful and distressing experiences for a person to go through, and the swift and correct action by a first aider as soon as possible after their injury is vital in ensuring they make the best possible recovery. This session will discuss the first aid response for broken bones, dislocated joints, sprains and strains, as well as more complicated injuries affecting the head and spine.
These sessions are open to all ages and abilities, because everyone can benefit from this essential knowledge.
Keep in mind that these sessions won’t come with formal accreditation. They are all about empowering you, your friends, and your family with life-saving know-how. If you’re seeking certification, watch out for a full day of First Aid Training in the future.
